Another great Siobhanathon in 2008.
A full write-up will be done as soon as I get the chance but I thought you would like to know how we did ASAP.
Everyone who has contacted us after the event has told us what a great weekend it was and how much they enjoyed it. The bands were excellent as usual and Creature kept the sounds going in between as well as running the silly games, raffles and trophy presentation for us.
Luke and his family had a great time and it made my weekend to see them enjoying themselves so much.
Thanks to L.J. for letting us use what is basically her garden for this event. L.J's mum made us some cakes and set up a cake stall making £96.36 for the fund, £30 of which was for a choccy Siobhanathon cake she auctioned off. We also auctioned a bottle of J.D. for £55 that was donated to us.
Raffle on Friday came in at £84. The golden Bucket made £162. thanks to the winner for not taking half like he should have done and letting us keep the lot.
We had a magician wander about doing tricks for people and he made us £34.65.
So in short, with all the raffles, donations, ticket sales ( pre-book and on the gate ) we collected £2159.68 and got Luke his holiday to Disneyland Florida.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported what we do. And don't forget to leave the first weekend in August free each and every year.
