Juke had this mad idea one day that a sponsored parachute jump would be a good way to raise a little cash for the fund.

After a couple of weeks of people avoiding her, she talked her mate Dan into doing one with her,  calls were made and a date set. Sunday 15th October 2006.

Siobhan, Morgan, and their Mum and Dad came down from Aberdeen to witness Juke and Dan throw themselves out of a perfectly good aircraft. A few others along with Creature, Kimo, Steveredd and his good lady turned up to show their support and to meet Siobhan and co.  We all drove to Sibson Airfield, near Peterborough, looking up at the sky and the heavy cloud cover wondering if they would let them make the jump. When we arrived they informed Juke and Dan that the cloud was too heavy, so we had to sit around for a few hours waiting, they soon gave the all clear and you could see the nerves kick in on their faces.  We all had a great time laughing at them both while they got the suits on and practiced how to jump out of a plane ( surely you just fall ?? )  with the guys who would tandem them down.

They were off,  lined up to get into the plane. Siobhan waved them goodbye and waited to see them plummet to the ground and then gently swing in for a landing. We went and found a good spot to view from but there was still cloud cover so we soon lost the plane, I seem to remember Morgan being the first to see a chute, pointing and all excited that they hadn't fell like stones to their death but were gliding down under the chutes. We could just make out the landing zone from where we were and watched as they all came down, not sure who was who but that kept the kids amused trying to work it out.

Siobhan met Juke and Dan as soon as they left the van that had driven them from the landing zone and hugged them both. The rest of us asked if they had thrown up at all.  Another short wait to get the video's that they had taken on the way down, we found a TV and watched Jukes, with colour commentary from herself and the guy who had jumped with her.  By the sound of it she really enjoyed the jump and soon asked when she could go again.

On the day they raised £250 and we all had fun watching them do it.  Siobhan enjoyed her visit and as always we enjoyed her and her family's company.
